Virtual Tour

Welcome to the Virtual Tour of City Island Temple, situated on City Island in the beautiful Bronx. If you are curious about what a Masonic Temple looks like you're in the right place. These are pictures of our Temple from top to bottom and bottom to top, inside and out. We invite you to explore and, if you are interested in becoming a Free and Accept Mason, contact us.

Welcome to our lodge. You'll find on our exterior the Square and Compass as well as our sign. We are located on the corner of Scofield Street and City Island Avenue. When you walk in you'll find a small hallway, with doors galore. To our right is the card room, the stairs to the basement, and another hallway, leading to the rec room. To the left are the stairs to the second floor, where our lodge room is located. Our card room is a place where we can shoot the breeze, prepare our mail outs, or prepare for the events that unfold. We proudly display a lot of our heritage in the room as well as awards that our district has won over the years.

Moving along you'll find out rec room, where we have a pool table, a dart board, and more seats to just relax. When entertaining large functions, we utilize every space we have available and these are prime seats. Don't say we didn't warn you ;).

Continuing along on our journey, now to the basement. Take note of the excellent artwork place above the door. This is where the magic happens. Here is where we have the majority of our functions. We also have our collations and many of our meetings and gatherings down here. We are lucky to have such a wonderful area to entertain, which includes plenty of space, a full kitchen, and plenty of space (did I mention that already?).

Alright, now we're up to the meat of the lodge, our lodge room. Before you even get there, take some note of the following items of our lodge, placed at the foot of the stairs. The first is a clipping from a news article circa 1935 that shows the original lodge building. Unfortunately, fire devestated the lodge in 1969. The second is our meeting directory. The last is a portrait of George Washington, in his Freemason attire.

Now ascend the stairs to our second floor. There is a small area outside of the lodge where we have several aprons posted as well as several chairs for those brothers awaiting to enter.

Now enter the lodge room. When you first enter it may be overwhelming for you but, please take my word for it, it's the most serene of environments. At the head of the room is the Master's chair, to his left (along the right wall) is the Junior Warden's chair, and ahead of the Master's chair is the Senior Warden's chair.

Thank you for visiting and we hope to see you in person.
